WHY WE EXIST
Our fun-loving group grew out of a handful of very ordinary golfing Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Brighton, as a social initiative by our founder Ivan Vojlay. Our group now consists of a core 24 regular and frequent players, with the total group comprising over 40 members.
Playing nine holes early every Saturday morning at the Brighton Public Golf Course, rain, hail or shine, players are expected to exhibit three simple characteristics:
One, you must have a sense of humour. Two, you must have a thick skin. Three, you must be devoid of all competitive spirit. This last pre-requisite is because winning is so often a big surprise and completely by accident.
We also have regular trophies, awards, prize-giving ceremonies and home-and-away competitions to add to our sense of fun.
Many lasting friendships have been born here.
